If they have been trying to stop their addiction for months or years and continue to struggle, they look at their experience as a testament to how hard it is. Some have given up hope that they will ever be able to change. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We didn’t say stopping an addiction IS easy, we said it CAN BE easy. It’s true.
